Biomaterial research conducted in 2022 during the course 'The Plasticity of Vegetation' at Escola Massana with Agostina Laurenzano. I focused my research process on exploring the possibilities of biomaterials derived from chestnuts, which are abundant in Catalonia. To accomplish this, I manually extracted starch from the chestnuts to evaluate its suitability for use in bioplastics, conducting numerous tests and ultimately obtaining favorable results. Additionally, I experimented with various parts of the chestnut shell to explore the range of possibilities this resource may offer. This project is still in development.
